According to the available details, the government was forced, at India`s request, to sign the agreement in secret. We ask that the government open an intellectual discussion on this agreement. As young lawyers, we demand that the government open the agreement to the people and consult the experts.” The Standing Committee is composed of senior officials and should meet at least every two years. It will be responsible for maintaining close links with trade and industry, while being a platform to resolve changes to the agreement.
